Police Accidentally End Up At Wrong House, Read Ornaments On Tree And Call The Station.

Two police officers in Ohio were dispatched to a home. But, as it turns out, they were knocking on the door of the wrong address. The homeowner let them in and as they were discussing having arrived at the wrong address, one of the officers noticed the woman’s Christmas tree. It was beautiful, she thought. There were so many nice, blue ornaments hanging from it. And then, something caught her eye and she stepped a bit closer to it.

There, before her eyes, was the name of a colleague who had been killed in the line of duty. This is very odd, she thought. As the officer started looking at the other blue ornaments on the tree, there were more names of fallen officers on them. There will even smaller ornaments with the names of police K-9s who had died in the line of duty. The woman of the house had carefully created her tree of honor in memory of all the officers and K-9s who were killed in the line of duty over the past year. On each ornament was the officer’s name and a date under the letters E.O.W., which solemnly means “end of watch,” or the date of their death. It was certainly a beautiful tree as a great tribute to the officers.

It had a lot of likes and shares after being posted on social media. But, as more than one person pointed out, it was hoped the tree would be empty next year. If this post tugged at your heartstrings, please share it with others.
