Singer Jennifer Nettles rose to vocal fame with the band Sugarland. But she has found her career in solo work to be just as rewarding. She also portrayed a young Dolly Parton’s mother in the movie “Coat of Many Colors.” But even with that quick move into acting, her biggest love was and still is music.
And that was truly evident when she recorded her Christmas album last year. She did an actual live performance while in the studio at satellite radio SiriusXM.
The 43-year-old singer combined the songs “O, Holy Night,” and “Hallelujah,” to make what is sure to become a holiday masterpiece. And her beautiful recording of the songs in the studio showcased her incredible vocal talents. Her compassion in the songs shone through brilliantly with every single word and is enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.
It was an absolutely outstanding performance, as an acoustic guitar strummed in the background, and backup singers lightly sang along with some verses. Jennifer has such an amazing voice with such incredible depth.
But to truly appreciate Jennifer’s version of the two song combined, you’ll have to watch the video.
